Matt Bradley - Lead Guitar
|
Playing guitar and
listening to music is a lifelong passion for Matt. As long as he
can remember he has been enjoying a wide range of music. From
The Carpenters to
Abba on his aw-shucks side; to
Led Zeppelin and
Van Halen on his testosterone side, he can say that he can enjoy
most anything. And if its country, then it had better have some really
good playing!
He started
playing violin in 3rd grade and stayed with that for 3 years.
He then became a band geek and played trumpet for about another 3 years.
But he the realized that he never heard any trumpet on any of Van
Halen’s albums.
He remembers listening to the
Diver Down album
over and over and making a conscious decision that he wanted to learn
how to play guitar. So, he called a buddy who had an old guitar and
asked him if he could buy it off of him. Yep, for $25. Cool.
Since then he
has played with quite a number of bands. Too many to list but recent
bands around Columbus and beyond were Bad Mattitude, Iron Horse and The
Divide. He is also currently in an
Ozzy Osbourne
tribute band
called Speak Of The Devil, which pays tribute mostly to the great
Randy Rhoads and
Black Sabbath eras.
Matt's influences are
Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads,
Yngwie Malmsteen,
Jeff Beck,
Jimmy
Page,
Ritchie
Blackmore,
Greg
Howe,
Nuno Bettencourt..just to name a few. Oh and he loves
Stratocasters.
